Olaf Sachau

More than 15 years of experience in aircraft and asset finance. Olaf started his career in 1993 in the Aircraft Finance department of KfW. During his 6 years at KfW, he spent two years on secondment at the Customer Finance Division of Airbus in Toulouse. Olaf joined the Project and Asset based Finance group of HypoVereinsbank in Munich as VP aircraft finance in 1999, where, apart from aircraft finance, he was intimately involved in the LBO of regional aircraft manufacturer Fairchild Dornier. Following a short stay at Fairchild Dornier as the Head of Finance in 2001, Olaf spent three years with Alvarez and Marsal in London, the largest global turnaround management and consultancy firm, as a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Amentum Capital in 2009, Olaf worked at HSH Nordbank where he held a variety of senior roles including Head of Aviation for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Head of Commodity Finance.

Volker Fabian
Managing Director
More than 15 years experience in aviation finance, aircraft leasing and asset management. Previously Volker was with HSH Nordbank in London as Head of Aviation EMEA and India. Before that, Volker held senior marketing roles at CIT Aerospace in New York, Dublin and Singapore with responsibility for Asia/Pacific and Europe. Volker started his business career in Frankfurt with Chase Manhattan Leasing and DVB Bank and holds a Master’s degree in Physics from JW Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Mitchel Simpson
Chief Financial Officer
More than 12 years experience in the big ticket cross border leasing environment. Specializes in structured finance and tax efficient lease structures. Previously headed up the Structured Asset Finance Division of De Lage Landen, part of Rabobank Group with particular emphasis on tax leveraged leasing and syndication.

Neil Burgess
Senior Vice President - Marketing & Sales
Neil heads up the Marketing and Sales team in Amentum Capital, having previously been in aircraft leasing, financing, and trading roles with CIT Aerospace in New York, Dublin, and London. Prior to this, he spent 18 months with Abbey National’s aircraft financing and leasing group, and also spent nine years with Airbus in Toulouse in aircraft trading, sales, marketing and strategic planning.

Dan Stone
Senior Vice President - Market Research & Analysis
Dan has over 10 years direct experience in aircraft leasing and airline analysis as an investment risk manager for GATX and Macquarie AirFinance, including worldwide work-out and repossession experience. Prior to that, Dan spent over 9 years as a credit analyst at S&P covering airports, ports, project finance issues and governments. Most recently, Dan was the Senior Transportation Analyst for HSH Nordbank.
